HALLOWEEN

                          TERRIBLE TREATS / ROTTEN SWEETS

This is a easy and fun dessert for halloween. I make it every year.

                        CANDY CORN PUDDINGS

1 box (4 serving size) instant pudding mix vanilla and one butterscotch. Make each one with directions on package. In clear glass of choice, ( can even serve in a martini glass) Add layer of vanilla pudding, layer of cool whip, layer of butterscotch pudding and top with cool whip. For Halloween, garnish with candy corn. The nice fall colors can take you thru Thanksgiving also. Can garnish with the candy corn pumpkin or a sprinkle of cinnamon or nutmeg. Very good. Light and creamy very festive. You can use fat free milk when making the pudding and fat free whip topping also if you want to cut some calories but not flavor. Enjoy!

Monday

Hello Readers, Happy Monday! Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. My pizza party went well. Except I forgot to get a photo of the pizzas. I had wanted to share them with you all. I’ll try to remember next time. As I will be making them again. One of the three pizzas I served was the Sweet Potato Flat Bread. I did post a photo and recipe for that one back on Wednesday March 14. You can go back to that post and get the info. It was wonderful. And everyone seemed to like it. I had made a couple pitchers of Homemade Lynchburg Lemonades and was feeling pretty wonderful. I did not even think of getting the camera out. The recipe for those are. 1 cup Jack Daniels. 1 cup Sweet and Sour. 3/4 cup Triple Sec. and 4 cups Sprite. Add one whole lemon sliced. Stir. They are wonderful. I put the pitcher in the freezer for about 4 hours to get it kinda slushy. Add ice to a short fat glass and a cherry or two. Add Lynchburg Lemonade and you have a great drink. One pitcher made approx. 4-5 drinks. depending on the glass.  With it being Spring and all and the strawberries so wonderful this time of year. I went with the “Strawberry Heaven” for dessert. YUM! It starts with a pre-made Angel Food Cake. Slice in half thru the middle. Horizontally. Place bottom half onto serving platter. In a bowl mix 4 oz of cool whip with 1 pint chopped strawberries. Place on top of bottom layer. Add top layer of cake. And frost with plain cool whip. Get an extra pint of strawberries for garnish on top and around the bottom. I used mint sprigs from my garden to add to the garnish. The recipe called for a 12 oz tub of cool whip. I bought 2, 8oz tubs and had a little left over. Good to have more than not enough. Any leftover Strawberries can go great the next day with the leftover cool whip. Everyone enjoyed and I did get a photo. Made the cake the day before. So the pitchers of Lynchburg Lemonades had not started flowing yet. I remembered to get the camera out. Let me know if you make the cake and how you liked it. Posting photos. Enjoy! Have a wonderful Monday.
